At HealthCare Connection of Tampa we’ve seen hundreds of addictions recovery successes. Let us help in your successful recovery too.
A custom addictions program tailored to your specific needs.
First of all let us tell you what HealthCare Connection of Tampa is not. We are not a quick fix, one-size-fits-all, 28-day drug and alcohol addictions recovery program.
The recovery program you enter at HealthCare Connection is built around you, your needs, your specific addictions and the reasons that led to the addictive behavior that brought you to us in the first place.
Over the years we’ve worked with clients with a single addiction or multiple chemical dependencies and have had success treating a range of addictions including alcohol, narcotics, painkillers, cocaine, heroin and many other habit-forming drugs. We’ve also had great success with clients who have secondary issues and co-disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, sexual addiction, and bipolar disorder.
We’ve built a national reputation for providing successful care for professionals with specific programs designed for attorneys, physicians and other healthcare professionals including pharmacists.
Additionally we have programs that deal with the issues faced by women and young adults.
Your recovery program moves at a pace that is right for you
A typical drug and alcohol addictions recovery program will take 60 to 90 days. In fact, programs are designed in three phases, with an expectation from experience that each phase will take you approximately 30 days to work your way through. We start with an acclimation and detoxification phase. In the second phase you will work on your core issues. And in the final phase we’ll help you reintegrate into the community.
Some clients complete the recovery phases a little faster; some may take a little longer. It is really up to you and your ability to make progress.
The right combination of recovery tools to help you finally achieve results
During treatment we employ a wide variety of techniques, including things like one-to-one therapy sessions with a counselor, readings, focused meditation, group interaction and Neurofeedback.
We also use techniques that help you to take responsibility for your past actions and addictive behavior and relearn how to live in society.
You will actively participate in the day-to-day activities of life. You will cook your own meals and along with your housemates you will be responsible for keeping your living space neat and clean. You will have opportunities to get out into the world – doing shopping or going to the gym.
Your in-care program takes place in a warm, welcoming, homelike environment
HealthCare Connection of Tampa offers separate villages for men and women. The housing facilities are inviting with a simple residential feel.
Both villages offer comfortable apartment style living, designed to build a sense of community with others working their way through our program. You will be assigned to an apartment, rooming with several other clients.
When you first arrive at your HealthCare Connection Village at the start of your recovery program you will be welcomed with open arms. We will assign you a buddy who will help get you acquainted and make sure that you get settled in to your new surroundings.
Helping you become a strong member of a community
We believe that you will be able to build a mutually supportive relationship with your buddy and the other clients in your apartment. Part of the recovery process is learning to become a participating and sharing member of a community. As you progress through the program you will likely be asked to take on the role of buddy to help other clients feel accepted into the village.
We are proud of the fact that many of our clients leave our villages at the end of treatment having forged relationships that continue to offer them support as they make their way back into day-to-day living.
In fact many of our program alumni choose to visit the community long after they successfully complete the program to lend their support and share their experiences in our group sessions.
HCC addictions recovery programs are nationally recognized
We’ve worked hard to create our programs and are very proud that our facilities and programs are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). And of course we are in compliance with the guidelines set down by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
HealthCare Connection provides a broad spectrum of care for impaired doctors, pharmacists, veterinarians, dentists, nurses, other related health care professionals, and attorneys through numerous in-state and national referral sources, key among them Professional Resource Network (PRN), Florida Lawyers Assistance (FLA) and the Intervention Program for Nurses – FL (IPN).
